Thank you
The 27th Symposium of the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society was a fantastic success! The Symposium brought together the forensic community from across the globe for a week of opportunities to share knowledge, collaborate and connect. With world-class keynotes, an outstanding program of presentations and innovative workshops, the Symposium strengthened professional networks and contributed to advancing forensic science.
The innovative new discipline streams, curated panels sessions and intra symposium workshops were well received by all attendees. All backed up by a social program that allowed attendees to have fun, network and celebrate the achievements of all our discipline award recipients.
Thank you to all our sponsors and exhibitors, workshop conveners, session chairs, attendees and our professional conference organiser, ICMS Australasia, for creating such a positive and inclusive event. Thank you to the discipline subcommittee for reviewing the record number of abstract submissions.
To all of our delegates, if you are not already a member I encourage you to continue the conversation and become a member of ANZFSS. ANZFSS has a range of memberships available from students to professionals, there are branches of ANZFSS all over Australia and New Zealand who host local meetings and activities regularly in between the Symposiums.
Finally, a big shout out to the fantastic Organising Committee: Tracie Gould, Kaye Ballantyne, Jim Pearson, Natalie Price and Melanie Fraser for dedicating their time to bring the Symposium to Melbourne, without which it wouldn’t have been possible!
We now hand over the torch to the ANZFSS Tasmania Branch for the 28th Symposium of the ANZFSS, with the theme Capture to Code: Art. Science. Intelligence.
Thank you!
Joseph Balkwill
President, ANZFSS Victoria Branch
